Norwegian Joins New European Airline Association

Norwegian, Europe's third largest low-cost carrier, has agreed to join Airlines for Europe(A4E), Europe’s new airline association.

Celebrate Delivery of Airline's First 787-9 Dreamliner

Boeing [NYSE: BA], MG Aviation Ltd and Norwegian 24th February celebrated the delivery of the Scandinavian low-cost carrier's first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Norwegian leased the airplane through an agreement with MG Aviation. The delivery is also the first Dreamliner to MG Aviation, the aviation leasing arm of Jordache Enterprises which has three additional 787s on order.

After five years of publishing "360 Magazine", Oslo Airport’s airport magazine has been re-launched. The newcomer is called "Mallpaper" and is available in both a free print version and digitally.

Reports solid traffic figures and high load factor in May

Norwegian carried about 2.4 million passengers in May 2015, an increase of 13 percent compared to the same month previous year. The load factor was 84.9 percent, up 7.9 percentage points. However, it is important to view this month´s traffic figures in light of the weak traffic figures of May last year.

FMG subsidiary submits winning bid

AeroGround awarded handling licence in Berlin

AeroGround Flughafen München GmbH, Munich Airport’s (FMG) ground handling subsidiary, has been awarded one of the three licences to provide ground handling services at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport. As a result, AeroGround will operate a second handling station in Berlin alongside its existing one at Munich Airport starting in July 2015. The licence is valid until 2022.

SAS has today signed a new modern collective bargain agreement with the Norwegian pilot union NSF. The negotiations have reached its objective after a strike that lasted for seven days and involved 17 pilots. SAS has now agreed with all of its pilot unions on new collective bargain agreements that create conditions for future expansion.
